These particular shots are interesting for (at least) three good reasons! There are not many shots of British marked Buccaneers, and also these are low angled shots, showing more underwing details than usual. And these are in-flight! Thanks for sharing!

Check the two I posted on AvPix Unlimilted. They are possibly USN photos but are 1944 at NAS New Orleans. Photos are marked SB2A-4 but on the one, there is no underwing British roundel although Brit mkgs and camo.

Yes, for example, here is a P-39 instrument panel, a little hard to see but COOLANT *C in lower right.

And of course, the P-51 which is easier to see, on the right, second row. In fact so is Carb. Air and Oil Temp.

Yes, for example, here is a P-39 instrument panel, a little hard to see but COOLANT *C in lower right.

I just checked the F6F flight instruments and both the cylinder head temp and oil inlet temp gauges are in degrees Centigrade as well. Must be a common practice for US aircraft at that time. Great observation!
