Check the two I posted on AvPix Unlimilted. They are possibly USN photos but are 1944 at NAS New Orleans. Photos are marked SB2A-4 but on the one, there is no underwing British roundel although Brit mkgs and camo.
 
In the video they give the Cylinder Head Temperature in Centigrade, was that normal at the time?

Yes, for example, here is a P-39 instrument panel, a little hard to see but COOLANT *C in lower right.

I just checked the F6F flight instruments and both the cylinder head temp and oil inlet temp gauges are in degrees Centigrade as well. Must be a common practice for US aircraft at that time. Great observation!
