I was TDY to Brookes AFB in 1988. They had a small museum set up in one of the older hangars. While on a run out around the old runways I found they had set a simulated bare base site with an F-105B, some F-105D's, and an F-101B, and had been practicing field-level structural repairs, riveting patches of aluminum over holes in canopies, etc.
