Looks more like a Gannet canopy, possibly the rear one.
The "DTD" number suggests it's British, but there's probably someone here who can identify it from the other stamps.

P-51 part numbers are all nn-nnnnn or nnn-nnnnn

Different shape to a P-51B/C canopy. Also, the "Malcolm" hood on the P-51B/C did not have a frame, but "rolled" edges.

Looks like the front of a Gannet to me. Even has the yellow dabs of paint on it.

I was going to suggest a Meteor, but I have to agree with the Gannet. It looks like a very close match.
But boy, what an ugly airplane !! A mishapen whale is what comes to mind, and it's supposed to fly ! Belly, nose, wings, tail, not one part of it is salvageable, looks-wise...
