Hi Everyone, hope your having a nice summer.
I have recently acquired this 60 inch metal Chauvière propeller blade with screw and was hoping someone would be able to identify which airplane it may have been used on.
From what I have researched I was leaning towards the Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 french fighter plane.

Thank you so much for your help!

Erica :)

also it was suggested it came off of the Messerschmitt Me 323 version Me 323D-6

MS 406
- Chauviere 351M Ø 3000
- Hispano Suiza 270 Ø 3100
- Ratier 1607 Ø 3100

Me 323
- Ratier 1634/1635
- Haine
This blade is also NOT counter-rotating and would be around 3.2-3.4m in diameter completed. It looks to be a series type 528. Any info on this blade? Thanks

This blade is clockwise rotating(seen from pilot) but french single engine airplanes had counterclockwise propeller.
May be a propeller of twin engined as MB 174/175 or other

Chauvière 1444 blades(clockwise) and 1443(counterclockwise) fitted on Ratier hub were for prop on the Bloch MB210
powered by two Gnome Rhone engines 14N.

Material blade was alu alloy L2R, dia propeller 3,20m

Waroff - this is fantastic information. Do you have an documents showing this?
I have also been told that this blade was the same as the Ratier 1635 blade used on the Messerschmitt Me 323 D-6, Leo 45, Amiot 351 & 354.

Here are some additional photos with the rattier hub adapter i found.

Still confusion but I believe we are nearing the answers to the mystery.

Thanks so much for an additional images, docs, info you can provide.

1444 were also used on Amiot 340 propeller
1635 blades were obtained from 1444 matrix

I found these information in "notice de renseignement. Ecole de mécanicien de Rochefort- armée de l'Air- 1939",
and Ratier propeller notes

Thank you

What does "1635 blades were obtained from 1444 matrix" mean? They were same blade? Licensed from Chauviere?

Thanks

before machining the blade there is a raw, this 1444 matrix give the 1444 type, then in these same matrix other types as 1635,1719 could be machined.
the overall shape of the blade 1444 is typical Ratier design but made by Chauvière sub contractor?
