Hello to all,

this is the only known color pic of the 2nd BG Fort I know. Kingman, AZ. Does anyone know abouth another color (not additionally colored) pic of the 2nd BG Fort?

Yes, I know, thank you. What I need is another color pic of another machine to prove to color of the bands on the wings and tail control surfaces (rudder and elevator). They were oeither black or blue...
 
Have you contacted W.T. (Bill) Larkins for other photos?? After all, he took the majority of the photos at Kingman. He can be reached thru www.1000aircraftphotos.com
 
Yes, there is a photo in the Jeffrey Ethell Collection showing a couple of 2nd BG B-17s. However, resolution is too poor to reveal anything more than your photo.

I flipped through all the B-17 photos in the collection but couldn't see any other pics of said aircraft.

Yes, there is a photo in the Jeffrey Ethell Collection showing a couple of 2nd BG B-17s. However, resolution is too poor to reveal anything more than your photo.

I finally found the time yesterday and sent an e-mail to Mr. Larkin. Let' s see how it turns out.
