The title I used for this thread is part of the original title of a video I found recently on YouTube, dealing with modern plastic models (the guy speaks of airplane models which is my "point of interest" as well).

Years ago I made a suggestion to some friends organizing a plastic model show, to put all those open, cut in pieces, destroyed etc. airplanes in a separate group and not mix them with "old fashioned", completely closed models (where one cannot see if the gauges are metric or imperial in 1:72!
