Did Hannah Fly a V-1?

In the movie "Operation Crossbow" there is a scene where German test pilot Hannah Reitsch (played by actress Lilli Palmer) helps troubleshoot a prototype V-1 missile by climbing in one fitted with a cockpit and and figuring out why the missiles were going off course and crashing.

I later read that scene was a complete fabrication, apparently inspired by the fact that Reitsch had test flown some Me-163 test models, including one flight where which she crashed and was severely injured. But recently I saw a video in which Eric "Winkle" Brown said that Hannah had indeed flown a V-1.

I just read an article in Flight Journal by Barrett Tillman in which he pointed out that Hannah did fly the manned version of the V-1, intended as a "Precision Guided Munition." She was a supporter of the manned Re4 version of the Fi-103 and flew test flights for it.

The unmanned standard version of the Fi-103 did not have ailerons but steered by rudder and elevator only, leading to a rather wobbly flight path. But the manned version did have ailerons, so, some amount of development work had to be done to figure out the new 3 axis control system. I never thought it made much sense to put a cockpit in the unmanned version to figure out why it was not working right. Depicting that flight just added drama to the movie.

Of course, Operation Crossbow mainly deals with British spies penetrating the German rocket program to prevent the development of the long range ICBM version of the V-2, the bombers hitting the launch site just before it was supposed to lift off and hit New York City. In reality, we know that never occurred. 633 Squadron had already destroyed the rocket fuel plant for the missile.

Funny thing happened at the office one day, about 20 years ago. I was walking to my car at the end of the day when they called me back inside. The president of the company was on the phone and wanted to know what propellants the V-2 used. My first thought was, "Okay how many years has it been since someone got called back into work to answer THAT question?" I told him the V-2 used alcohol and liquid oxygen. His response was, "What! No way! No one would use LOX in a tactical missile!" I reminded him that the Germans were the world leaders in cryogenics at the time and that LOX was nice because with suitable equipment and a source of electric power you could make it anywhere.

The concern was how to model a failure where the rocket blew up on the pad with a full load of propellants. That did occur with V-2 and we had plenty of video of it. But, come on, like THAT is ever going to happen at Cape Canaveral!

In her autobiography she mentions flying the Fi-103 and some of the interesting situations that developed. Basically IIRC, she dreamed it up and got Skorzeny to back her.

Wasn't V-1 a missile? I know there were some operational human guided things, like the Japanese Ohka, but i can't remember anything about V-1 having onboard crewmember.
 
I was at a Whirly Girls convention in Washington, DC in '70s where she was honored guest speaker, Hannah concentrated on her flying gliders and FW-61 Focke-Achegelis, inside the Deutschlandhalle (auditorium) in Berlin, Germany. In Q&A went on to relate how she'd flown first Me163a then Me163b rockets, and the first jet she flew was the Fi103R off a catapult rail.

It was built in single and two seat trainer versions, with both were on display unrestored at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.

Reitsch also carried out a test program on the prototypes of the glider version of twin pulsejet Me 328 low cost interceptor fighter, releasing from its carrier aircraft at altitudes of 3,000–6,000 m (10,000–20,000 ft). Ground launches, using both cable-type catapults and rocket-assisted carriages on rails, were successfully conducted. Built of wood, it was estimated that four Me 328s could be built for the cost of a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 or Bf 109 fighter and built by glider manufacturers. Even with a reduced wingspan, the aircraft demonstrated a very satisfactory performance, and it was planned to build up to 1,000 for use as disposable fighters to be flown by volunteers from 5/KG200, the so-called Leonidas Squadron.
During 1944, moves were made to revive the Me 328 again, this time as a piloted flying bomb based on the Me 328B, fitted with a 900 kg (2,000 lb) bomb. Reitsch had advocated for the use of Me 328 project as a suicide weapon, however, the aircraft was not developed with any such use being intended.

Hannah Reitsch test flew them, and she volunteered to lead (near?) suicide missions in them.
Maybe she did but the 130 tons of fuel requested for training in October 1944 was refused. The Chief of TLR (the air armament technology division of the Air Ministry) diary for 5–15 March 1945 says that: '… following the latest accident, further work on the Re-SO aircraft will be declined by KG 200 and the Führungsstab' (operations staff). On 25 March the Luftwaffe Chief of Staff, telgraphed to TLR regarding Gerät Reichenberg: '1. In agreement with Chef TLR's proposal for complete cessation of all work. 2. Either use the major components of completed devices elsewhere or scrap them'.
