.That looks more like a Halifax than a Whitley. The fins look all wrong and I haven't seen an astrodome above the cockpit on any Whitley photos. Also, very few Whitleys stayed in Bomber Command service into the era of the Type C1 fuselage roundel. It's a Halifax for my money...but happy to be proved wrong.

I agree. That's the Halifax. What is more it looks like the Special SOE variant. Judging by the shape of the nose details it is the Tempsford/Z-type nose. The shape of the two front and the side windows there (A,B,C) indicates it quite clearly. The another detail that indicates the Halifax is the shape of the cockpit front windscreen and the fusealge in front of it (D).
