Fw 190 identification plate

It looks like the manufacturer is the Vereinigte Deutsche Werke ( VDM) , the factory in the Hedderheim. If so, the part may indicate the prop device. But whether it is from the Fw 190A I'm not sure. Most of known parts for the device start with the prefix "9" for them. So it may not necessarily be a part of the plane.

This plate is from an aircraft airframe part because it has an "8" group number. The Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke AG (VDM) Company did specialise in aluminium alloy parts and aircraft propellers and systems. If this was from a propeller or propeller system, it would be a "9" group number (for aircraft engines/systems).
So this is from an aircraft part, probably an aluminium casting. The number 8-2056.22 would decode precisely to the part, but unfortunately I do not have the information to help with that, although I think it may be an undercarriage or wheel part. Note that the part number is identified as a "Sach Nr" or Item number, not as a Gerate Nr which is a device or complete piece of equipment. The Werk or serial number 61111 is quite high and so it is possibly a common part.
Notice the top Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke AG Frankfurt Heddernheim is the parent company, but the lower Hersteller, Vereinigte Deutsche Metallwerke AG (the maker) is
the secondary VDM factory at Hildesheim just south of Hannover.

ETL Fw190-number 14. I found a photo on Randy's website (Randy's Warbird Profiles: Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 "White A"). You can see the assembly plate on the wheel.

Yes, the D3 vs .22 is a point that is not easy to resolve without more documents that describe the change of part code. In my experience, these part-codes are very specific and although 8-2056 will be that style of wheel, different third groups like .22 or D3 can mean a change that matters, or not! I would associate letters after a part code with earlier or company numbering, whereas numerical last groups are more likely later and Luftwaffe/RLM code preference.
Overall, the plate is off a Fw 190 wheel. Some further info on the .22/D3 code and what the part numbers were on late models like the D-9 solid wheels would be interesting.
