Kit: Modelcraft F-82 Twin Mustang
Scale: 1/48th
Accessories: Decals from my stash and possibly Falcon canopies.

I will be using the Modelcraft kit to build a F-82 of the 449th squadron based in Alaska in the early 1950's.

I've read a lot of bad things about these Modelcraft F-82 kits but I have two in the stash. I've built kits with worse reviews that I haven't had a problem with, (MPM Fw 189A, HiPM P-51 and both Hi Tech and MPM P-63's) so fingers crossed.

I might start cleaning up some parts, but any assembly will wait until I get the P-38 finished.

I couldn't wait to finish with the P-38 before I started messing around with this one.
I spent a well over an hour cleaning up parts just to get the nose cowl halves glued to the fuselage halves and do the test fitting seen below. And that was the minimum amount of cleanup just so I could get them to more of less fit together with a whole lot more cleanup to go.
I foresee a whole lot of filler in my future :evil4:
