I have a gear from a B29 that crashed in 1947 near my hometown, and would like to know what it's use was on the aircraft. It says Boeing, and has number on the spokes of 25966, C-2, and S-8## the last 2 are not very clear. it is 6.250 in. dia. .437 wide and has 60 teeth. I have had this since 1978, and was going to make a lamp with it. Any help identifying it would be appreciated. Jim

Thanks heaps for checking. This was from a crash in april 1947 on Hawks Mt. in Perkinsville, Vt. They were lost in a rainstorm and hit the top of the mountain. I hiked up there with a friend in 1978. Full story of the crash here. The Hawks Mountain B-29 Crash . Jim
