I am making a model of George Preddy's original P-51B-5-NA, serial 42-106445 and I'm looking for an answer regarding the colour of this aircraft.
I have seen different information regarding this aircraft, some sources say it was Olive Drab over Neutral Grey (with blue nose) because "all aircraft in this serial range were delivered in this scheme" but others say it was natural metal overall with blue nose
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure it was the 42-106445 but not the 42-106451?

The 42-106451 is known from these pics ....

the pic source: Top Mustang Ace Major George E. Preddy Jr. of the 352nd Fighter Group, 8th Air Force and Maj. George E. Preddy, Jr. - P-51B "Cripes A'Mighty" (HO*P) - 352nd FG, 487th FS

However it is one more shot with a P-51B that was wearing the OD over the NG colour with no doubt.

Thank you for those. Yes the first few are of 42-106451, however the fifth one might just be the one I'm looking for. Pity there are so few of this aircraft online.
The sixth is 36506, Capt John Bennett's HO*Y as shown in the Golden EagleCals booklet. They state it was the only shark mouth aircraft of the 352nd FG.
