Germany vs Japan

I know that these two countries were thousands of miles apart but what would have been the result if the Japanese and Germans would have gone to war against one another?

A quick peace due to the lack of oil, I'd imagine.

Too much depends on the area of battle and width of the battle front, as well as the time for the start of the war.

What are they fighting for? Do they fight in China? Or do we assume they border each other in some alternate reality?

Does each side have time to prepare for war with their intended opponent?

Are the US and/or UK happy to see them go at it, and keep on supplying oil products to Japan?
