Handley Page Halifax / michelin nut

Hi everyone this is my first post on this great site. This weekend I found a sort of wheel nut, on a place where a Handley Page Halifax comes down. I want to know of this nut came of the plane and where from the plane it came from.

I would strongly suspect it is not off an aircraft. Casting/stamping that G into the nut adds weight and that is never a good idea on aircraft.

Thanks MiTasol, I was also looking for more information of the nut on the Internet. But can't find any information of it. Thanks for your reply and information.

I think there is something more on the collar nut ... What the inscription says ?

I think it says Michelin which is where the thread title comes from.

Most likely a wheel lug nut as Michelin made them even for German vehicles. G could be for gauche which is French for left so may be left hand thread.
