In regards to the rocket/boosters, a large share of the stages were manufactured in Southern California. Even the Saturn's engine and lower stage components were assembled at a complex situated in the north-west corner of NWS Seal Beach and shipped by rail back east. There was even a special rail siding that entered the facility off the NWS's rail system.
