This occurred in Montgomery County MD a few hours ago. The two people in the airplane survived the impact but are trapped inside.

Going to be awhile getting them and the a/c down. Somehow, it appears that they managed to spear the lower crossarm structure. Photo from a different angle shows the arm entering the belly aft of the rear spar.
 
They got the people out after midnight last night. They were badly injured but at least they were not reduced to crispy critters.

I recall one airfield in Maryland where landing was rather disconcerting. You passed over some high tension lines on downwind but as you turned crosswind the power lines turned also in such as fashion so that it seemed like you were right over them for the longest time. Eventually when on final approach you finally got away from the power lines.
