And each "plate" was around eight feet long, and weighed over 60 lb - they also hurt, if handled incorrectly.
I know, 'cos I had one, cut in half, to make two "recovery tracks" for my Land Rover, when off-roading in harsh conditions. These were mounted on a roof rack, and, only once, I slipped when getting them off the roof, catching a thumb in the piercing, and almost crushing a foot - a few new swear words were uttered that day !!!
Nothing to do with this thread's subject, but it just brought back memories of the days when I was fit and healthy !!!
