Hello,

Anyone have a schematic or picture of how the front reflexive sight and revi16 were mounted for the upper firing guns?

Thanks!!1

I'm not sure whether the front gunsight for aiming with the Schräge Musik guns was used. The guns were fixed at the back firing diagonally upwards. During the attack the pilot was approaching under the target and while being almost underneath opened the fire. It required from the pilot a quite nice reflex to start firing at the correct moment. Later a photosensor was introduced which automatically fired missiles as the fighter passed under the target.

There was a second Revi16B or N mounted above and/or behind the pilots head that projected onto a Revi glass. He would look up and see the reticle.
