Ju 88 A-4 oxygen bottles

I have searched the Ju 88 manual and found that the oxygen bottles in the tail are elongated,
in the above picture all of the bottles are spherical.
Can you tell me why is that?

If these spheres aren' the alien eggs these are the oxygen ball tank type ... also used for other WW2 German planes.
