I am new to this forum and normally an armor modeler! I would like to scratch build in 1/32 the rear turret of the Lancaster, the version with the four browning .303's. I would like my model to be as accurate as possible, I have a few questions...
1> Do plans exist in 1/32 for scratch-building the turret (interior and exterior)
2> What is the best walk-around of the turret available? I have searched the forum and found some useful photos but as always more is better.
3> I have the excellent browning barrels from Master in 1/32, who makes the best browning .303 in 1/32 for the rest of the machine gun?
4> Where can I find detailed pictures of the rear-gunners electric heated suit?
Humm, we use to have a thread around here on the Lancaster including some pictures I took of the rear turrent of the Canadian lancaster that came to the EAA a couple of years back. I will see if I can find the thread.
Steve, if you can be a bit patient, I plan to skip down to the Nanton Lancaster Museum within the next month Nanton Lancaster Society Air Museum. I know they have a couple of these turrets, one mounted on the plane and one not. If I get there I'll take a bunch of detail shots.
