Hi everyone.
Please can I ask what this protrusion is on a Mk.i Avro Lancaster? Is it some kind of antenna?

Thanks!

This is the lead-in of the TR.9 radio antenna secondary wire from the main aerial lead. In February when the TR.9 was replaced with the TR.1196 radio set the part of the antenna wire was removed although the metal lead-in panel was left in the place. Later the lead-in panel wasn't installed at all.

Thank you so much...that is a really helpful answer. I appreciate it.
