Nice Vids, Jan. The U.S. Navy called them R7V's, and used them in a variety of roles. Troop transport, civilian transport (MATS), ASW, and I'm told they were used as snooper aircraft, to gather intelligence. I flew in them a few times.... very nice comfy aircraft.
