I saw the very high speed 358mph for ki-43-III that site quotes, maybe it was a lighter test plane? Also it was claimed at 6800m a bit higher than usual Ki-43.
The late war models Ki-43-II Kai and -III are interesting as they much claim much performance from exhaust mods, it would be interesting to find a test on the same plane when changing just exhausts, or even Allieds evaulation.
