Hi can anyone tell me if the attached photo looks like a genuine Merlin head off a mosquito?

The Mosquito ran many different Merlin types throughout its career but so did Spitfires, Mustangs and the various other aircraft that used that engine. It's not possible to just look at a small piece like that and say "Oh yeah, that's a Mossie Merlin alright". The claim needs to be backed up by some kind of paperwork confirming the artifact's provenance otherwise it's a guess at best.
 
Well I originally made the piece and the merlin was from a Halifax that crashed in Holland.

I chemically etched the plate with Rolls Royce and the RR/U/260 number on the rear is our stores code.
We made this very early on - about 15 years ago and I think this one was sold at Duxford Flying Legends.
