I was reading the Building the P-51 Mustang book I have, and there was a mention of the carb/supercharger intake filter that wasn't used on the lightweights (XP-51F/G), but most P-51B/C and P-51D/Ks had them, as did the P-51H and XP-82/P-82B. Was there any differences between the early (P-51B/C/D/K) and later Mustangs (H, P-82) as far as that goes?
