Hi All,

I need help again please, this time its with the Messerschmitt Me-410. Hornisse.

We are doing a catch up to fill in some of the holes in Instrument panels etc. where the gauges have been removed for radiological/radiation issues.

In the Pilots cockpit I know the Magnetic Compass was held in a standard type mount against the canopy rail on the Right Hand side (Picture 1) but, what was in the very similar folding mount on the Left hand side but a bit further back? (See Pictures 2 and 3).

In the 'Gunners' cockpit what was in the square mount down on the right near the oxygen regulator ? (See Picture 4). The hole is 58mm in diameter.

All help and advice gratefully received and of course if any one has the relevant diagrams etc from the original manual ( 'Bedienungsvorschrift')!!

Many Thanks

Rodd

ps Finally for a bit of Christmas fun can you spot what is wrong with the gauges in Picture 5? It will be changed :)

Thank you for the links, I will follow up on the Luftfahrt-Archiv they may have just what I need.

Thank you also for the photo of the NASM 410. Fascinating, as it has a very different layout with that full instrument panel in front of the stick which reduces the forward / downward view for the pilot.

Rodd

Hi Woodhaven,

Many Thanks for the information and also for the extra set of photos/diagrams to better explain it to me I am very grateful for those.

Best regards
Rodd

Hi Crimea River,

Yes, as I see it in this photo from Woodhaven its defo the clock.

The hinge would allow you to fold it down to easily, pop the back off and regulate it.

Otherwise I presume winding etc is done with the knurled knob on the front (see photos I found on the 'Uhrerbe' site).

Regards
Rodd
