Which just goes to show that people will see what they want to see, not necessarily what is there, and that some are easily led. The conspiracy theorists see demons, I see, errr, clouds.

I believe science should always be questioned. I always thought flat earthers were people who questioned the earth being a sphere as a sort of intellectual joke, I didn't think anyone actually believed it.

There are, apparently, people who believe the Earth is flat. And this only 2,400-2,500 years after it was known, and only 2,200-2,300 years after its circumference was first estimated.

I quite like the argument that Antarctica is an ice wall that prevents us falling off the edge, and all the other arguments they have, very inventive and funny. Since many of them are very rich they could fly across the Antarctic ice sheet as I have across the Arctic, but of course that would kill the jokes punch line.

About a year ago, SpaceX announced that they will send 2 private citizens to a lunar orbit by the end of 2018.

Nonsense. Those great British lunar explorers, Wallace and Gromit, clearly proved that the moon is made of cream cheese!

I wondered if any flat earth society had done an expedition to prove the ice wall. Surely it would be simple enough?

I have no doubt they have an answer, like I said, I think it is a sort of intellectual joke that some with less of a sense of humour take seriously. It has been pointed out elsewhere that people flying to and from "flat earth society" conventions are on planes with navigation systems that are based on a globe, as is the pilots education.
