In Pohnpei yes, but worldwide the average is about 8" since 1880, and about 4" since 1993. Different areas in the world will experience different changes due to the various reasons mentioned up-thread, plus some other reasons not mentioned.

The average sea level rise determined by NASA over the last 33 years is 10.1 cm (3.98") mentioned here in the second paragraph down, on the NASA website:

The key point is that the sea levels are rising and for the reasons listed in the previous link. It will be extremely devastating for many areas. And in terms of the topic of this thread, it is not a conspiracy theory!

That is Sweden still coming back up from the weight of ice that was on the land in the last great ice age. Int the last 20,000 years some parts of the coast are 120 feet further above sea level.

Italy is still coming up as well due to being a peninsular. One of the main ports of the Roman empire is now over twenty miles inland.

Millions of people have lived for decades at sea level waterfront, on waters that directly connect to the oceans, like my parents have, and call bullcrap on the Fake Science claims that sea level is rising, when they can see for themselves that on seawalls and dock pilings that the water level has not risen in the almost 50 years that they have lived there.

None of the nautical charts have revised the vertical navigational clearance on bridges downward, in the last 60+ years.

The reinsurance industry is most certainly not calling "fake science," only rather ill-educated politicians and fossil fuel industry lobbyists. The scientists have data. The "fake science" accusers have opinion and bullshit.

Which both sides use, depending on what subject is being discussed. Only an idiot, a spunk trumpet, a crotch goblin, believes that their side tells the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth....while the other side is full of sh*te!

That may work in politics, but that's not how it works when data are involved. When the climate change/sea level rise skeptics come up with verifiable data, which they can't because it both doesn't exist and they don't have the competence needed to gather or analyze those data, then there can be a debate.

There are also people skeptical about the heliocentric theory and those who argue the Earth is 6000 years old. They're also wrong. They also have no data.

I think of the Earth as a somewhat closed system. Yes, there is stuff that comes down from space onto our planet. Nothing can leave the gravity well without a lot of help. All the waste we produce, at industrial scale, is stuck down here with us. That's got to have some effects on climate.
