Does anyone have any clue as to the aeroplane described by "Multi-gun day and night Fighter Aircraft with two Napier Sabre (two-stage supercharger) engines", which I stumbled across in the UK archives here: Multi-gun day and night Fighter Aircraft with two Napier Sabre (two-stage supercharger)... | The National Archives

Thanks for the link. The exhaust outlets being at the same level as the prop shaft supports the Sabre.
Per Lumsden, the two stage Sabre E118 was from 1941 so that also agrees with the document.
On the flip side, I am not sure if a bomb aimer would be needed in a day/night fighter.

Was the AS.47/48/49 ever built?

Pretty sure that is a no.
