Cold Chisel saxophone player Andy Bickers has died after "hard fought battle with cancer", the band has announced.

So Long to singer-songwriter Joe Melson, best known for co-writing hit songs that made the best use of Roy Orbison's voice, particularly "Only the Lonely (Know the Way I Feel)" (1960) and "Crying" (1961). Both of those are in the Grammy Hall of Fame, and both are included in Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. Melton died July 1 at 91.
