354th FG 356th FS 44-63673 AJ*T side codes flown by Maj Richard Turner. Flew planes named "Short Fuse Sallee" during his first tour (his girlfriend) but Sallee didn't wait before moving on thus the missing "Sallee" on this plane from his second tour.

Nice photo. AG349 is almost certainly landing at the Royal Aircraft Establishment Farnborough photographed from a chase plane. It arrived in UK at the end of 1941 in the first batch of NA73 Mustangs delivered and went straight to Farnborough as a test aircraft. It is apparent there is no pilot seat armour. It seems to have a wire HF aerial from the cockpit to the tailfin but under the port wing there seems be a blade antenna next to the u/c leg which normally indicated a VHF IFF installation.

P-51B-10-NA 42-106471 Lambie II / Petie (352nd FG, 487th FS) crashed at Halls Farm, Fairstead, England due to bad weather Jun 7, 1944. Clifford P. Garney was killed in action flying this aircraft.

P-51D-10-NA 44-14475 (352nd FG) shot down by Me 262A-1a flown by Lt Karl Schnorrer of JG7 /9 over Ulzen, Germany Mar 25, 1945. Pilot bailed out but was KIA.
