I would say the F2A-3 buffalo, its the only plane I know out of the three. Four .50 cals and armor, but not very manerveurable. If you go one on one in a buffalo to a zero, your dead.
Wrong; a Buffalo is plenty maneuverable...just not compared to a Zero or a Oscar or a Ki-27. Also, the Buffalos were NOT always armored. The ones that fought in British hands in Singapore and Malaya had to be fitted specially with armor (the weight of which was a performance tradeoff).
Keep in mind the Finns kicked butt with Buffaloes in their part of the world. It wasn't that bad a plane...just the overweight US versions.
