I search pictures of the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt LH-H of Captain William D Smith (P-47D-25 42-26668 Skipper) of 350 Fighter Squadron 353 Fighter Group G during the summer 1944. I have only a bad quality picture. The source of this picture can already help. Many thanks in advance

Since my last post about the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt LH-H of Captain William D Smith (P-47D-25 42-26668 "Skipper") of 350 Fighter Squadron 353 Fighter Group at

He identified the picture as published in "Close Calls" by Bill Price on page 78. Thanks to the information, I bought this fantastic book who gives also more details on the operations on August 29th, 1944.

Martin also mentions another picture of the aircraft once sold on ebay. I am now searching for the person who bought this picture or know how I can get a copy (a scan of the logo "Skipper"is good enough). If there is any cost, do not hesitate to give me the price.

My target is still to create a color profile of the P-47 of Captain Smith to illustrate an article. I have also found more information on the Thunderbolt LH-N flow by 1LT Olger Ivan Aal when lost the same day on the same mission.
