Someone posts this very interesting document on another forum. However, he has already forgotten the original source. No more detail of the test is available, so it is unclear whether these data comes from translation of Japanese test flight or US test of captured aircraft. It is worth noting that its Ha-45 is full-rated (+350 at military power).

Any idea of the probable source?

Only a WAG: Just from the nomenclature and wording I would expect a translation of a Japanese document. A USN test document would use different terminology and possibly be converted to imperial measurements.

Hello Archerfish,

I believe that Fliger747 is correct. This is probably a translation of a captured Japanese manual or test document.

Your comment that this is a "fully rated" Ha-45 also appears correct because of the maximum of 3000 RPM versus 2900 RPM.
Note that all tests were using Military Power or Rated Power and not Emergency Power as a US Test would typically use.
As you probably know, Emergency Power would be +500 mm Boost and give about 2000 HP down low.

The other thing worth noting is that this appears to me to be a strange mix of data.
The Engine Settings could be for a late Ha-45.
The Gross Weight of 3400 Kg is low for a late Ki 84 which would have been more like 3700 Kg.
Performance also seems quite a bit lo

The Ki.84 in combat during WW2 was capable of a maximum speed of
360 to over 400 mph. depending on the fuel used and the quality of the
aircraft production. In latter stages of the war many Japanese bases
were supplied with tree sap fuel capable of about 85 octane.

When I post WW2 FIGHTER AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE again (for
the last time) it will include this information. However, I will focus mostly
on what the ki.84 could have been with proper fuel and maintenance
also. Test figures under Japanese tests will be included also.

Good night guys, Jeff
