I heard that the Petlyakov attack planes were used as dive bombers. Can anyone provide information on the specific tactics they used for dive bombing and their effectiveness?

Ps. Pe-2 was a bomber/dive bomber, Pe-3 was a heavy fighter version of Pe-2. Both were used various other roles too.
