USS Coral Sea (CVA-43)
Crew members of the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea (CVA-43) line the flight deck behind a "331 days" sign, representing
the 11 months the carrier spent in deployment to the Western Pacific. Aircraft of Carrier Air Wing 15 embarked, flew over
160 strikes, delivering over 6,000 tons of ordnance against military targets in North Vietnam and Viet Cong strongholds in
South Vietnam. USS Coral Sea steamed 105,000 miles in waters of the Western Pacific - enough to circumnavigate the
globe four times.
