Soldiers guard the B-17 Short Stuff after the big Boeing landed in Sweden on April 18, 1944, following a mission to
Brandenburg.

The B-24 Princess Konocti made a forced landing near Halmstad on June 20, 1944. Most of the crew were returned to
England that September.

So Many American Pilots Crash Landed in Sweden that the Top Brass Wondered if They Were Doing it on Purpose

LR made a forward control version back in 66 as well. Notorious for having not enough power from its small diesel engine.
