B-17G 42-97503, CP-X, "Princess Pat", wasn't she one of the options, in the old Monogram 1/48 kits back in the day, or is memory completely....out there?

Lockheed/Vega B-17G-15-VE Fortress 42-97503 (381st BG, 533rd BS, *Princess Pat* [VP-X] ) caught fire during training flight and crashlanded at Ridgewell Mar 26 (27?), 1945 and reduced to salvage. All crew escaped.

What a great image, man ole' Pat has seen some sh!t eh? Looks pretty rough but still a beauty.

Agree with Peter. I'd love to find decals for that and have the skill to pull the paint job off. Little painting side bar; note the exhausts stains don't follow the openings
