RAF Plane Kits Assembled in Takoradi (Ghana)

Hello All,

I hope one of you can help me. I'm from Ghana, and would like to know the type(s) of WW2 planes that were assembled in Takoradi. These planes were flown from Takoradi to Cairo after assembly, to help defend North Africa and the Middle East during WW2.

Does anyone have any ideas where I can get information about the type(s) of planes in question.

Hi Ghanaman, just by looking at the photographs you posted, the aircraft in the photograph being unloaded from the crate is a Hawker Hurricane.
