Does anyone have information on what aircraft were available to the RAF/RAAF during the fighting in Malaya/Singapore?

If possible a list of types and number just before hostilities - as well as any notable reinforcements/resupply during the fighting.

With the exception of the Burma numbers, the data are taken from "Bloody Shambles Volume I". The listing probably originates from AHQFE weekly force totals which did not include reserve aircraft. For example, 21 Sqn RAAF had 18 Buffalos at Sungei Patani but probably only had 12 operational on 7 Dec 41. Similarly, some 32 Buffalos had been sent to Mingaladon to afford 67 Sqn a 100% reserve complement of airframes.

Hope this helps as a starting point.

Cheers,
B-N
