I do like this guy's videos. They are refreshingly direct and not loaded with hyperbole. He also picks oblique and obscure topics. Thanks for uploading them.

I had never looked at his videos but will when I get home. Watching on phone in public is bad manners but I have to see the Avro 555 and HP Hanley ones because they are so "different."

How on earth did the torpedo NOT hit the structure on that landing gear nightmare

I started to watch that, but I really can't be bothered with French flying boats that did little or nothing.
That is no fair. If you watched you would know. It is like not wanting to hear obscure blues because it aint on your elevator ride.

It was a dead end as all flying boats. But one need to know about it. It had value, back then, as did the Brit boats, just too late to party like it is 1926.
But it is ok. You either watch or not. Between 1903 and now there are so .. so many wannabees..
And i think it is refreshing to look at them ( better told about them)

I feel i get a better understanding of those times. The why , why not , the politics , and the more or less insane.

Those french boats were just too late. I find french aviation a thing to investigate. Design politics etc. French aviation is not getting the credit it should for 1918-1940.

Wing issues, can-kicking, and so on ... I'm busy taking care of my mom and her house. Time matters to me and I have to prioritize. I've still got to curate a hundred or so photos from my museum tour.
