RR Merlin Manual

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help.

I am a volunteer at an Aircraft Museum in the south of the UK and we will soon be restoring an RR Merlin XX and hopefully get it running.

Dose anyone know where or if they have some maintenance/overhaul manuals for the engine?

Seems no XX, but 22 and 24 only, from the 1-stage, 2 speed variants?

You can find Packard Merlins here, I know those were not exact copies of RR models, but still:

Maybe the best place worth talking would be the RR Heritage Trust?

The museum I help at locally has 3 Lancaster Merlins running and is overhauling the 4th now. Next time I'm there I'll find out where copies of the XX manual can be found (if).

Thanks for the info guys.

I have sent an email to RR Heritage as they have helped me with a project before.

I've also sent some more to other museums that have them running, hopefully i will get a reply.

This is the one I was referring to. Bomber Command Museum of Canada The Lanc at this museum is a Mk X running Merlin 224s
