hello, I got 2 hasegawa boxes with yellow decals, they're from the 90' I think, I'm trying to save them using the sun (if it doesn't work aftermarket it is), how long should I wait for the decals to get white again?

thanks for your answers!

As long as it can get the white. ;)

In fact it depends on the Sun. If it shines brightly it may be a couple of hours. Just check on the process periodically.

Hasegawa was notorious for not knowing what colour white was in the way back when. On the left are "white" decals to go under the hinomarus. I just painted them on. Note the colour is the same on the unit markings on the upper right

the decals from the ki 100 are from the 90', tho the mustang I'm also getting got better decals (I'll have the nose art version)

You're best off either painting the white or getting replacement (aftermarket) decals. There's no fixing those Hasegawa decals.

I managed to salvage the hinomaru and stencils but since it's old haseg and that apparenlty they had a reputation of using ivory for white, I'm going to do the V33 markings myself (I plan to do the second option)
