The paint didn't stick to the plastic or itself for that matter. I waited around four hours to pull the tape, but it all came ripping off.
Now, ( of course ), the paint won't come off the canopy sections so I sit here day after day looking at them muttering under my breath in expletives that shouldn't be repeated.
Any ideas?
Testors Modelmaster paints were used with Testors Dullcote. Stuck on like superglue !!

You could try brake fluid, or oven cleaner. But test it on a reproduction of the problem first! Otherwise, as suggested, mould a new canopy.
