you guys hooked me with this tread. i started reading not realizing it was a few years old. (im new here) and i finally got to the end and nothing.... very disapointing. 
Italians HAD twin engine single seat fighter IMAM Ro.57 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and about twin fin, maybe his single fin fell off after hiting the water?
