TBM-2 Crashes In Indiana

What is about TBM's? They do not have a reputation of being hard to fly. But this one came down short of the runway in Indiana on 15 May 2025. Two injured, no deaths. First the Cocoa Beach ditching and now this.

A World War II era plane crashed at Terre Haute Regional Airport around 2 p.m. Thursday north of the runways, near State Road 42 and Chamberlain Street.

The aircraft was traveling alongside two other former military planes from the Tri-State Warbird Museum near Cincinnati, Ohio.

While landing, the plane clipped the fence and flipped over, the Terre Haute Airport said in a press release.

The co-pilot had exited the plane by the time airport personnel arrived, but the pilot was still trapped inside.

The pilot suffered minor injuries and was lifelined to an Indianapolis hospital, the Terre Haute Police Department said. The pilot is safe and was hospitalized "out of an abundance of caution," the museum confirmed in an update.
