This looks similar, a Fairchild F-505 Aircraft Camera...
...it's the only photo I can find of it.

Found another photo of the Vought camera mounted on a restored TBM, but pointed forward

I'm still trying to determine whether it was to be pointed forward or aft. I have a copy of the original camera instructions plus a TBM Erection/Maintenance manual, but neither specify the direction of aim. I can't imagine that from release to impact that the torpedo would have traveled faster in water than the aircraft would have traveled in the air, so I'm assuming that aft was the most informative perspective from which to capture a still image.
