It has been several years since the heyday of Hyperlobby and Jiri announced recently that he will be closing the Hyberlobby forums. The game server has already been disabled.

The last time Jiri updated the Hyperlobby program was four years ago, v4.3.7, and I never got the impression that the update was enough to get Players back into using it.

I remember when IL-2 came out in the early 2000's there would be 1000 people on Hyperlobby in the various servers. Such good times! My buddies and I would spend many a late night on weekends dog fighting. Il-2 was such an easy and enjoyable flight sim to use. The newer sims are so real it takes a lot of the fun out of it when you need a thousand keyboard commands to use the aircraft.
