A daylight B-29 attack hit an aircraft factory in Japan, doing great damage to the facility. One of the B-29's had a bomb hang up, but they finally managed to dislodge it over downtown Tokyo.
The bomb hit the headquarters building for the same company that owned the factory.
The Japanese supposedly were very impressed by the exceptionally thorough nature of the bombing raid. First you blow up the factory and since there is no longer any need for the HQ building, you take that out, too.
