Twin Engine Thunderbolt in 1/72nd Scale

The cockpit assembled and painted and assembled the cockpit. I didn't spent too much time on it as not much of it will be visible. I also spent quite a bit of time rouging in the fuselage nose. A lot of filling and sanding will be needed and the front will be reshaped with my big file.

 
I spent some time last night reshaping the nose with the big file. It's still very rough, but I think I have the basic shape down.



Here's a test fit to see what it will look like. to me it looks much more capable of actual flight then the twin P-40

 
I have spent quite a lot of time over the last couple of weeks working on the gun nose, filling with CA, filing to shape and then last night wet sanding everything down with 400 grit. I am pleased with the shape, I think it suits the stocky Thunderbolt. Also removed and filled the intercooler vents and the tubro exhaust.
I have also been working on the nacelles, and they are nearly there and will have pictures of them when they are sanded.
